Massachusetts, MA-The Massachusetts State Police has announced the results from a 10 week patrol surge that was executed on Route 24 and Interstate 195.
Troopers from the State Police Middleboro and Dartmouth Barracks conducted a pro-active patrol campaign aimed at identifying and arresting impaired operators and deterring aggressive and distracted drivers.
This campaign was conducted in order to promote roadway safety on Rte 24 and Interstate 195.
The following list of statistics shows the results obtained from this initiative.
OUI Arrests: 90
Felony Arrests: 3
Other Arrests: 80
Criminal Summons: 75
Total Number of Citations Issued: 2,810
Number of Speeding Citations Issued: 1,448
Number of Seat Belt Citations Issued: 320
Total Number of Hours: 1,825
Total Cost for the Campaign: $124,755.91
