NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Police say two men were stabbed outside of a bar in North Smithfield early Sunday morning, and that they aren't yet sure what led up to the incident.
According to police, the department was advised by Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket that they were treating a man who had been stabbed. Police say when they learned of this, they found out a second stabbing victim was being treated at Landmark as well.
Police say at least one of the stabbings allegedly happened in the parking lot of the Lower Level Bar at 175 Eddie Dowling Highway in North Smithfield.
The two men sustained non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police are asking anyone with information about these stabbings to call the North Smithfield police tipline at 401-762-9983.
