PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence fire officials are investigating a fire that damaged a Veazie Street triple-decker and seared a neighboring home.
Captain David Soscia of Providence Fire Department told ABC6 News the fire happened around 12:08 a.m. Sunday morning at a three-story home at 290 Veazie Street. Police say the fire left the interior of the home moderately damaged, and that the fire also damaged a home next door.
Fire officials say no one was inside when the building caught fire. Captain Soscia said the fire department has not yet determined how the fire started.
According to fire officials, the multi-family home was under renovation, and that firefighters have battled flames there before.
