Bookshelf falls on Woonsocket toddler, killing boy

Police responded to 113 Parker Street just before 1:30pm yesterday where it was a reported a wooden bookshelf tipped over and landed on an 18 month old boy's chest.

He was taken to Landmark Medial Center by Woonsocket Rescue where he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
