It took hours Wednesday night for town leaders and the Wrentham Outlet Mall to reach an agreement that midnight madness will go on after all. They went back and forth on demands over security cameras.
The meeting was packed with dozens of store owners wanting to know if they would be opening their doors at midnight on black Friday, but the planning board had problems with the wording in the malls proposal. It says they wouldn't add more cameras come next season if they were told to.
The town says it's a matter of public safety and next year more could be needed. Finally after 3 hours they came to an agreement. 10 cameras must go in before black Friday and they will decide about future cameras at the town's next meeting November 7th.
