Nearly three months after a young mother, her boyfriend and another man were shot to death in Providence a teen has been charged with their murder.
The teen was arraigned, as an adult, Friday afternoon in Rhode Island District Court.
Wearing a blue sweatshirt and standing emotionless before a judge, 16-year-old Quandell Husband was arraigned for the murders of three people the night of July 30th.
Shemeeka Barrows, Michael Martin, and Damien Colon were shot to death in a General St. apartment in Providence. Also inside the home at the time were Barrows' young children and brother. They were unhurt.
A judge waived Husband out of family court, allowing him to be charged as an adult. The teen is charged with all three murders as well as using a gun during a crime of violence and conspiracy to commit robbery.
No plea was entered. Husband is being held without bail at the ACI pending a bail hearing on November 7th.
A second teen is also charged in the murders. That case is pending in Family Court.
