People already prepping for Sandy

Even though Hurricane Sandy is still days away from becoming a big factor here in New England, many Rhode Islanders aren't taking any chances, and want to be ready for anything that Sandy throws at them.

Many people are making an effort to get prepared early, remembering the lessons learned from Tropical Storm Irene.

This time around people want to be prepared for the worst and are snatching up everything from weather radios and batteries, to non-perishable food.

Many retailers ABC6 talked to on Thursday said that although they're already seeing an influx of people getting storm supplies, they aren't even close to running out of the essentials yet.

Retailers do expect to see a rush of people storming their stores for supplies, this weekend.
