Governor Chafee and the Rhode Island EDC are going to court, suing 38 Studios and its founder Curt Schilling.
They're not stopping there, the state is also going after former EDC executive director...
Keith Stokes.
The lawsuit alleges that the EDC was never made fully aware of all the risks involved in investing in 38 Studios, before signing off on a 75-million dollar loan guarantee.
So far the man at the center of the 38 Studios fiasco, Curt Schilling has yet to comment about the lawsuit.
House Speaker Gordon Fox though is speaking out, basically saying in a statement, that he plans to hold hearings about the 38 Studios deal during the next legislative session.
Up until now, Speaker Fox had been against holding hearings, fearing that they might interfere with the state's various investigations into Schilling's studio.
Rhode Island State Police investigators are still looking into 38 Studios finances, to see if there were any crimes committed, by anyone associated with the video game makers deal with the state.
