Some voters were in and out in minutes at their polling places, but others were stuck waiting in long lines. Voters needed extra patience at Dr. Martin Luther King Elementary School in Providence. There, we counted a line nearly 100 people long.

Executive Director of the Rhode Island Board of Elections, Robert Kando, says "The reason why we've got the long lines is that they are multi–page ballots, and many of the voters are walking in and haven't examined the ballots prior to walking in, so they're actually making their decisions as they walk into the booth. "
