The Rhode Island Secretary of State's website was bogged down this afternoon due to "extraordinarily heavy traffic," says Communications Director Chris Barnett.
The website, http://sos.ri.gov/, is a resource for voters where they can find information on where their polling place is, what is on the ballot, and how to register.
Voters have been checking today for some last minute preparations before the vote. For comparison, Barnett says a week ago the website saw 2,286 page views the entire day. As of 1:30pm today the site had 31,287 page views.
