Victims of Hurricane Sandy who live in the affected areas of Newport and Washington counties may qualify for tax relief.

The President's federal disaster delcaration permits the IRS to postpone certain deadlines for taxpayers who reside or have a business in those areas.

The IRS automatically taxpayers located in the affected disaster area and applies automatic filing and payment relief.
