The RI Dept. of Health has lifted the boil water advisory for the The Village on Chopmist Hill system in Glocester. That system, along with 18 others, were issued boil advisories in the wake of Hurricane Sandy due to low or no pressure. In the absence of adequate pressure, a water system becomes vulnerable to harmful contaminants.
With the correction of this water system, only one advisory remains in effect, that being for the YMCA Camp Fuller in Wakefield, where authorities are working tirelessly to restore proper service as soon as possible.
Anyone with questions about their water system can contact the RI Dept. of Health info line at 401-222-5960 / RI Relay 711
