PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Two men were taken to Rhode Island hospital with non life-threatening injuries after they were stabbed during a brawl outside of a Providence nightclub around 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Police say the two stabbings happened on a side street outside of the Anacaona nightclub near Ada's Creations at 1137 Broad Street.
According to police, the club was closing down and people were beginning to filter outside when a large fight broke out, which quickly turned into a brawl. Police say when they arrived, they were flagged down by a woman who was taking one of the victims to Rhode Island Hospital.
When police followed them to the hospital, they say they found another man who had also been stabbed around the same time. Police say the second victim drove himself to Rhode Island hospital, where he received treatment for a laceration to the back of his head.
Police believe the two victims were likely stabbed by the same person, but were unable to get information about the attacker because one of the victims was being uncooperative with police.
Police do not know what type of weapon was used. There are currently no suspects at this time, but detectives are reviewing surveillance video.
No arrests have been made.
Police say the club will likely be referred to the Providence Board of Licenses for review of the incident.
