A huge fire broke out at the G. Bourne Knowles and Company on Rt. 6 in Fairhaven, MA around 7:30 AM this morning.
Bruce Labosierre, a business owner nearby, heard a commotion, came outside, and looked across the street and saw flames roaring up into the skies. "They were about fifteen to twenty feet high" he told ABC6.
The Knowles company is a landscaping business, and the building was loaded with a mix of dangerous chemicals, and firefighters were worried they would have to evacuate. The New Bedford Fire Dept. sent a truck to assist, but it got into an accident before it could make it to the scene.
Thankfully, the Fire Dept. was able to get the situation under control, and there were no injuries reported. The investigation is still ongoing.
