WEST WARWICK, R.I. - An intense fire has left a two-story home on Church Street in shambles, and fire officials are still trying to determine the cause.
Fire officials say their trucks arrived at a two-story home at 50 Church Street around 2 a.m. Saturday morning to find the right-hand side of the home completely engulfed in flames.
The home is vacant and no one was inside at the time, fire officials say.
Firefighters managed to get the blaze under control in about 40 minutes. According to the fire department, the home suffered severe damage inside on both floors and on the exterior.
