A Warwick man going the wrong way on a Connecticut Highway killed three elderly women early yesterday. The three Connecticut residents died when their 2007 Nissan Maxima was hit head on. The driver of the other car, 51 year old Frank Sundstrand, was taken to the Hospital of St. Raphael and is listed in critical condition.
Interstate 95 was shut down for several hours near exit 70 in Old Lyme.
Some 300 people are killed every year by wrong way drivers. ABC 6 reporter Liz Tufts looks at this growing problem and what's being done to stop it.
