FALL RIVER, Mass. - Fall River police are searching for two suspects in two bank robberies that happened within an hour of each other.
Police say around 10 a.m. Friday, tellers at the Santo Christo Credit Union on 149 Columbia Street told them that a white female entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding cash. When the teller walked away from the window, the woman demanded money from another teller. After the second teller complied, the robber left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Less than an hour later, police say they responded to the Bay Coast Bank at 30 Bedford Street. Police say bank employees told them a man entered the bank and demanded money. After receiving some cash, he fled the scene.
Police say there were no injuries, and no weapons were displayed in either of the robberies.
The suspects, police say, have not yet been caught. Police are describing the suspects as:
White female, mid 20s in age, about 5 '3'' tall, weighing around 130 lbs
White male, 6' tall, thin build
