It seems all of us know someone with the flu. Many of them flocking to local clinics. Doctors at Barrington Urgent Care say they're treating 30-40 patients a day for the flu. That's well over half the people coming through their waiting room doors.
They say the number of flu patients is much greater than in years past. In fact it's on par with what they saw during the peak of the swine flu.
"This year alone I've seen an increase just since the beginning of the year, since the 1st of January. We've had 9 positive influenza a's just from the beginning of this year. So that's quite a bit," said EMT/Medic Kimberly Arnold.
Health officials say it's not too late to get a flu shot.
