The inauguration has not been without incident for Barbara Walters. The 83-year-old news personality who appears weekdays at 11 a.m. on ABC's "The View" took a spill on Saturday night that landed her in the hospital.
Walters slipped on a step at the home of the British Ambassador to the United States and suffered from a laceration on her forehead.
She was transported to an area hospital in Washington D.C. where she was treated. ABC spokesman Jeffrey Schneider said she is doing well noting she was, "telling everyone what to do, which we all take as a positive sign."
Unfortunately, Walters' incident will make it so she is unable to cover President Barack Obama's second inauguration.
In 2010 Walters underwent heart surgery and returned to the view four months later saying she feels fine.
