New Bedford minister working hard to provide shelter from the cold!

This week, single digit temperatures  has had  a lot of folks, who have no place to go , scrambling to get out of the cold.


  The Reverend Russ Chamberlain, with help from the city of New Bedford, opened up a shelter  at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ.

Chamberlain has only one message,come out of the cold!

The Reverend says, he was concerned and decided to take action, he says in two nights, they had nearly fifty people that came seeking warmth. Chamberlain says, he's just following  a scripture in the bible,feeding the hungry and providing shelter for those who are without. The Shelter will open again at the request of the city of New Bedford, Friday night at 7:30 PM. until 5:30 Am Saturday morning.
