A stray dog found with gun shot wounds to its legs has police investigating.
The dog, a pit-bull type dog called Liam, was found by animal control after they had received reports of the stray dog for a few weeks.
When he was found he had gun shot wounds, a fractured leg, and several other injuries. The veterinarians who worked on Liam said that if the animal does not recover the leg may need to be amputated.
He was brought to Handsome Dan's Rescue in Cranston Rhode Island to recover.
Calma Salon and Day Spa in Cranston has started a donation drive to benefit Liam. People are invited to drop off donations to 650 Oaklawn Avenue in Cranston and proceeds will go to Handsome Dan Shelter. All those who donate will be entered into a raffle to win a gift basket from the salon.
