There are potholes in Providence; potholes in Pawtucket; and potholes in Central Falls.

And this car tire was flattened by a pothole in Woonsocket:

Willie Wheeler, a driver from Worcester, MA said, "It's been kind of bad. I hit quite a few of them coming down, so they need to do something about it."

Jill Carello, a driver from Providence said, "Well my car goes out of line, that's one thing and the tires blow, usually."

So we went on pothole patrol, following a public works crew in Lincoln.

They spent the day patching the potholes and pounding the pavement, to smooth a path for drivers.

ABC6 Chief Political Reporter Mark Curtis said, "And take a look at what we found, lying along Main Street in downtown Pawtucket. This is the sidewall of a large truck tire. Chances are it got blown off when the truck hit a large pothole."

Some communities will reimburse people for pothole damage.

In Pawtucket you can report potholes and fill out claims online, but be careful because there are two separate forms.

You will also need to act fast and provide official damage estimates.

Richard Goldstein, the Pawtucket City Clerk said, "Get your claim form in here right away. And then if you need to get back up information, you can do that and bring it to us afterwards, but if your claim isn't here within the seven days, you know the chances are, the City's going to deny the claim."

With more rain, and snow in the forecast, the pothole mess will likely get worse, before it gets better.

Each City and Town has its own rules on reimbursement, so check where you live.
