An arsonist accused of burning down the home of a witness set to testify against him in another crime has pleaded guilty.
Raymond Gyamfi, 23, pleaded guilty to charges before Judge Netti Vogel on Tuesday. Gyamfi burned down a Vale Street apartment in February 2011 in an attempt to intimidate a witness testifying against him in a home invasion case.
The fire killed pets and left several of the residents in the triple-decker apartment building homeless.
Vogel sentenced Gyamfi to 30-years in the ACI with 19 to serve on charges of arson, burglary, and he was sentenced to a year for witness intimidation.
