Cimex Exterminating, a Virginia pest control company specializing in bed bugs, has announced that its K-9 division has expanded and it will begin offering regular bed bug dog inspection services to industries such as cruise lines, movie theaters, transportation services, and healthcare facilities in addition to its current hospitality and apartment buildings clients.

The reappearance of bed bugs on the American cultural radar has made travelers more cautious when staying in hotels and renters more selective when looking for apartments, but hospitality and real estate are not the only industries that must take measures to control these hitchhiking blood-suckers.

"Anyplace where a variety of people or their belongings spend time is someplace you can pick up bed bugs," explained Cimex Exterminating president Kevin Campbell. "You can get them sitting in a cab, or on your luggage in the trunk of the cab, in a movie theater, on a train or cruise ship, or even from a healthcare clinic or daycare center."
