The Town of Barrington has had six residential burglaries since February 2013. In four of the cases, the criminal let himself into homes where the doors or windows were left unlocked, while the residents slept. In one case, a resident was awakened by the intruder, who fled. The suspect was described as male, 5'11, and heavy set.
Barrington Police are reminding people to lock their doors and windows at night, and when they are away from the home.
The Police Department is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglar.
