Should Rhode Island be the "calamari" state? Well the debate continues at the State House on Wednesday complete with a cooking demonstration.

A hearing on whether Rhode Island Style Calamari should become the official state appetizer will be held in the House Lounge on Wednesday in front of the House Committee on Health Education and Welfare.

Prior to the meeting Dean Scanlon, chef/owner of L'Attitude Modern Eatery in Pawtucket Village will cook up some Rhode-Island style calamari tossed with hot pepper rings to confirm that everyone is aware of what "Rhode Island" style is.
