PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A group opposed to the legalization of gay marriage packed its bags Monday night and prepared to head to the nation's capitol to voice their concerns on the real possibility that gay marriage might become legal in all 50 states.

Rhode Island for Marriage, part of the National Organization for Marriage, will arrive in Washington, D.C. as the gay marriage debate heads to the Supreme Court.

This week, the high court's justices will hear arguments for and against California's voter-approved ban on gay marriage, and will look into whether the Federal Defense of Marriage Act, enacted in 1996, is unconstitutional.

The Defense of Marriage Act, currently on the books as Federal law, defines marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
