A terrible and thoughtless crime against a disabled woman in Woonsocket. Somebody has stolen the wheelchair she needs to get around.

Betty Costa says the motorized wheelchair was taken from her yard on Robinson Street Wednesday. The robber broke through a lock and chain to get at it.

She just finished paying for the wheelchair, which cost her several thousand dollars.

"Please, if you have a heart, even a little bit of a heart please bring it back," said Costa. "Please. I won't press charges against you."

Right now police have no suspects or even any leads.

Costa says she was keeping her wheelchair out in her yard because she doesn't have a ramp to get it inside.
