A suspect in a Woonsocket shooting was arraigned on Monday morning but it took two attempts.

Christian Rosado, 25, of Worcester Mass., was arrested by Woonsocket Police for allegedly shooting a man four times near the Fairmount St. Bridge on Sunday. The victim is currently at Rhode Island Hospital in stable condition.

On Monday morning Rosado was brought in to Providence District Court for his arraignment but the judge ordered him back to the holding cell when he refused to "cooperate" and give his date of birth to the court.

Rosado was brought back into court later in the morning where he was officially arraigned.

Rosado was charged with assault with intent to commit murder, assault with intent to commit a felony and a misdemeanor charge of firing a firearm in a compact area. He entered a not guilty plea for the misdemeanor charge and the felony charges were referred to Superior Court.

Rosado was ordered held without bail because of two previous assault with a deadly weapon charges.
