The individuals who died in a murder-suicide in Cumberland on Easter have been identified.
Police say 73-year-old Roland Bouvier shot and killed his wife 70-year-old Maria Bouvier before killing himself at their apartment at 6 Nate Whipple Highway.
"They were a loving couple and both of them had some severe medical health issues and I guess the quality of live for them was not was there," said Cumberland Police Chief Desmarais. According to relatives Mr. Bouvier had a back injury and suffered from extreme pain and Mrs. Bouvier suffered from dementia.
Bouvier's daughter and grandchildren were in the house at the time and alerted police when they heard gunfire.
