The University of Rhode Island campus police confirm they are on the lookout for a person involved in a situation Friday night at the university library.

Campus Police say they received reports of a distraught individual in the library. He was on the phone and crying according to witness reports. Some students reported that he was saying alarming things.

One student took to the URI confessions Facebook page saying they asked the man what was wrong and he said "you'll see next week."

Campus police say they have no reason to believe the incident is in anyway related to the campus gun scare that took place last Thursday.

The man is described as a white man, clean shaven with a buzz cut, standing approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 220 pounds with a muscular build.

Anyone with any information regarding the individual is asked to call the URI Police at 401.874.2121.

Meanwhile state and local police continue to ask for anyone with information regarding last week's incident to contact them.
