A makeshift memorial grows near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. American Flags, flowers, cards, and teddy bears have been placed at Boylston and Berkeley Streets. The gifts are propped up against the barricade, blocking up a still very active crime scene. On Wednesday, much of the area is still blocked off as investigators continue to comb through evidence. 12 streets remain cordoned off.

A random bouquet of flowers was placed at the corner of Exeter and Newbury Streets. There are signs of a grieving community throughout the city.
