A University of Rhode Island student has gone missing on his ride home to Collegeville Pennsylvania.

21-year-old Matthew Royer was last seen on May 16th leaving his URI apartment to head home for the summer.

A Rhode Island gas station shows Royer there around 6:30 p.m. Around 2:00 a.m. Friday cell phone data shows him in Allentown Pennsylvania. Shortly after, he made a debit card purchase at a nearby gas station.

On Friday afternoon Royer was scheduled to work at Shippack Golf Course, he never showed. His family called police and it was discovered his cell phone had stopped working by noon on Saturday.

He was driving a 2008 Chevy Colbalt with Pennsylvania plates anyone with any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 610.584.1250.
