Former Cranston Mayor Steve Laffey will run for Governor… of Colorado.

Laffey announced his bid for Governor on the Amy Oliver Show on 1310 KFKA in Colorado later this morning.

Laffey served as Mayor of Cranston from 2003 to 2007. In 2006 he ran unsuccessfully for United States Senate losing in a Republican primary to Lincoln Chafee.

After leaving office it was rumored that Laffey might make a bid for Governor of Rhode in 201 however he decided against it.
