The Department of health expands its recall from earlier this week on Bel Frantoio Olives sold at Ocean state job lot. Recall came after health staff discovered that the olives weren't handled properly to prevent production of the toxin that causes botulism.
Product was not refrigerated and sold at room temperature making them susceptible to contamination with "Clostridium botulinum".
No illnesses have been reported at this time. Ocean state job lot is encouraging customers to return any Bel Frantoio olives to their local store for a full refund.
