The bacteria that sickened more than 130 people at Spring Lake in Burrillville has spread to other nearby swimming spots. The bacteria called "Shigella" has made 14 people sick at Wallum lake which straddles the Burrillville, Douglas line.

State health officials say there have been other cases over the border in Massachusetts as well. Shigella spreads through feces, possibly from a sick baby swimming without a diaper.  This outbreak shut down Spring lake beach for a few days this week, but it's now back open.

Those infected with the bacteria get Diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps that last two to three days.
