Olivia Culpo Way Dedication

CRANSTON, RI- Miss Universe, Olivia Culpo was overwhelmed when she walked into a room filled with family and admirers. The 21–year–old was praised for putting the city of Cranston on the map.
"We're so proud of Olivia and we wish her the best as she finishes out her reign as Miss Universe and then whatever else her career path holds," said Mayor Allen Fung.
Culpo grew up on Albert Avenue in Cranston, which now shares its name with Olivia Culpo Way, and a small crown.
"I really couldn't have done it without where I came from which is Rhode Island, which is Cranston, which is Olivia Culpo Way, now Albert Ave," said Culpo.
Her parents, Peter and Susan Culpo still live on the quiet street.
"I think we just have to thank the city of Cranston. It was a very nice gesture on their part. I think I've realized that we're probably never going to move off our street," said Culpo's parents.
A group of high school girls' soccer players were eager to meet Culpo, but their attention turned once they realized Nick Jonas was in the room. He and Culpo are rumored to be dating.
This is not the first time the city of Cranston has given such an honor to Culpo. When she was crowned Miss USA, she was given a key to the city.
Culpo adds, "There's so much that I'm grateful for and now that I have this sign, it really seals the deal. I really love it."
