WARWICK - Warwick's department of public works is operating on eggshells... Saturday night's explosion and fire leaves them three garbage trucks down.

"What it does now is we're basically running with no spare trucks whatsoever right now," said Director David Picozzi, "so if we have a breakdown now which is very common, now we fall behind."

The fire completely destroyed three garbage trucks and damaged two other vehicles. The DPW's insurance company came to the site earlier today to assess the damage. The replacement value of the three ruined trucks is $750,000.

State Fire Marshal investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the time of the blast...but tonight they still don't know what may have caused the fire.

"We are looking at maybe the possibility of an electrical fire...but that's totally unofficial," said Picozzi.
