Mayor Flanagan wins Fall River’s mayoral primary election

Polls in Fall River closed at 8pm Tuesday night and it was a landslide victory for Mayor William Flanagan.

Mayor Flanagan won all 29 precincts earning 72% percent of the vote. Now, the Mayor and the second place candidate Joseph Carvalho will face off in November's general election.

In a facebook comment Mayor Flanagan stated: "Tonight we won 29 out of 29 precincts and in a six person race earned 72% of the vote! Together we ran a grass roots campaign block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
