Heather Abbott will be accepting a donation on behalf of The One Fund on Sunday morning.

Allstate Life Insurance is hosting the Boston 13.1 Marathon this Sunday, making it the first major race since the Boston Marathon bombings. The event kicks off with a $20,000 donation from Allstate's Boston area agents, given to The One Fund. Accepting it will be Newport's Heather Abbott, who lost her foot due to injuries sustained in the bombings.

But the donations don't stop there - US Road Sports has also agreed to donate $10 to The One Fund for every runner who beats Marathon greats Bill Rodgers and Frank Shorter, who will also be racing.

The special ceremony will begin at 7:15 am, where Abbott will accept the donation, and even fire the starting gun. The route will begins and ends at Suffolk Downs, winding along McClellan Highway and throughout East Boston and Revere.
