7th Annual event brings the community together to have fun and raise money for the Portsmouth Humane Society.
PORTSMOUTH, Va., Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ghent Bar Tours has announced that the 7th annual Olde Towne Fall Crawl will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, from 4 to 9 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Portsmouth Humane Society.
The event includes stops at nine Portsmouth restaurants: 619 Cantina, Paddy O'Brian's, Griff's Restaurant & Sports Lounge, Thumpers Olde Towne Bar & Grille, Gosport Tavern, Still, Longboards Hawaiian Bar & Grill, Roger Brown's, and Baron's Pub & Restaurant.
"The Portsmouth Humane Society is a wonderful organization that is dedicated to caring for homeless animals in the community by promoting their adoptions into loving, permanent homes," said Lori Fisher, the event coordinator and a member of the board of directors for Ghent Bar Tours. "By participating in the Olde Towne Fall Crawl, you can have a part in helping the animals find their forever home."
Registered Olde Towne Fall Crawl participants will receive a map of charity pub crawl locations, an event T-shirt, a wristband for discount specials and other souvenirs. They will also be granted free entry to the closing ceremony.
To attend, register online in advance before midnight on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, through the Ghent Bar Tours website. The cost is $20. Registration the day of the event is $25 and will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Baron's Pub & Restaurant, located at 500 High Street in Portsmouth.
Overnight accommodations after the event are available at the tour-friendly Governor Dinwiddie Hotel for a special rate of $79. The hotel is located at 506 Dinwiddie Street in Portsmouth.
