Students at Cranston West High School will have to play tennis with a jeering message under their feet a bit longer.

The city has been working to remove vandalism to the tennis court at Cranston West after a vandalism incident on Sept. 19.

The graffiti on the surface of the court has proven a bit more difficult to remove because the cleaner used to remove graffiti is also removing the paint from the court say Department of Recreation Director Tony Liberatore.

The Department of Parks and Recreation has contacted the company that painted the court originally to come in and repaint.

Three adults and one juvenile have been arrested and charged with the vandalism to the tennis courts and nearby signs and buildings. In total the estimated cost of the clean up is $1,500.
