The son of Red Sox announcer Jerry Remy will be arraigned in the stabbing death of his girlfriend Tuesday. On Monday the Boston Herald released a new jailhouse interview with Remy in which he claims his innocence.

This is the first time Jared Remy is speaking publicly about being charged in the murder of the mother of his child, Jennifer Martel. Her body was found on a patio outside the home they shared in Waltham back in August.

Remy dropped a bombshell in that jailhouse interview with the Boston Herald saying he did not kill her. Remy told the Herald, "How dumb would I have to be? I loved her, I still love her."

But neighbors say the saw Remy attacking Martel. And, other evidence shows his footprints in Martel's blood. Remy claims the allegation are "ridiculous" and he spoke as if he expects to be cleared, using the term "when I get out."

Remy also told the paper he has refused to see his mother and famous father since he's been locked up.

Remy has already pleaded not guilty in District Court. Tuesday morning he will be arraigned in front of a Massachusetts Superior Court Judge.
