Red Sox fans were holding their breath Thursday night during game five of the ALCS.

"We're here at the Ladder hope they win," said Erica McQuesten.

"Ya, very exciting we haven't won since 07 so it's our year," said Sara Gaboury.

Fans from Fall River to Newport are not letting Wednesday's loss dampen their mood.

"I am sticking with them.  You gotta have faith in your team," said Parrish Clinton.

"They are a team of destiny this year in my opinion.  Every time they loose one game people wanna get all distraught," said Eddie Merritt.

"I really want them to loose one in Detroit cause they would have to go back to Boston and I really want to see them win in front of fans," said Mary Ann Darosa.

Chris Cardalho was sporting his Ted Williams shirt to bring the team some luck.

"The Tigers have a great team on paper, but we do to so I think it's gonna be a 7 game series.  I think it's gonna put a lot of people under stress," said Cardalho.

Game six is Saturday afternoon at Fenway.
