Cranston Police have located a person of interest in a shooting that took place on Tuesday around 4:30 p.m.

General Jones, 27 years old, turned himself into police late Tuesday morning after hearing he was actively being sought by the Cranston Police Department.

After speaking with Jones, Cranston Police Detectives were able to ascertain the location of the 2006 Buick Lucerne that was driven the day of the shooting and determined to be the vehicle from which the shots were being fired from. The vehicle is currently being held at Cranston Police Headquarters for forensic processing.

There have been no charges brought yet in this case and General Jones remains a person of interest in the shooting incident.

The incident remains under investigation and is ongoing.
