An elementary school was placed on a brief lockdown Thursday afternoon after a woman claimed she needed to use the bathroom and tried barging into the school.

School officials at J.C Solmonese school in Norton, MA alerted police of a self-initialed lockdown when a woman who has been identified as 48 year-old Christine Ayres of Attleboro, MA suspiciously attempted to enter the school several times.

When police arrived to the school they spoke with Ayres and confirmed she did not pose a threat to anyone but that she indeed needed to use the bathroom.

Ayres was not placed under arrest but will be charged with disturbing the peace and disturbance of a school assembly.
