A man has been arrested after a 58-year-old woman was dragged by a pickup truck for more than three miles before being left dead.

Moses Acloque pleaded not guilty to charges Tuesday morning in Wrentham District Court. According to prosecutors the 22-year-old refused to pay his bill at Arbor Inn motel in Wrentham and then struck a man and a woman who worked at the motel with his pickup truck. The woman, 58-year-old Kanchanben Patel got stuck and was dragged for over 3 miles along Route 1 in Foxborough.

A Massachusetts State Trooper saw the truck driving erratically around 10 p.m. The trooper stated he initially believed that the truck was dragging a deer carcass underneath the truck.

The incident came to an end in front of Chickie Flynn's restaurant in Foxborough.

Police officers say the incident occurred when Acloque was confronted by Patel and a man for illegally using a room.

Acloque's attorney said his client was being attacked by the hotel workers and fled in fear.

The man who was struck suffered minor injuries.

Acloque is being held on $3,000 bail.
