A convicted thrill killer has been released from prison.
According to the Alliance for Safe Communities, Alfred Brissette, a man convicted of murdering a 38-year-old woman for the "thrill of the kill."
The Rhode Island Parole Board released Brissette from prison 13-years earlier because of the program participation and his plan for change.
Brissette pleaded no contest to murdering Jeanette Descoteaux in 1999 and was sentenced to 35-years in prison. Brissette and Marc Girard were convicted of luring Descoteaux into the woods by offering her cocaine and then brutally beating her to death.
