A convicted murderer who was released from prison decades early will reside in Providence.
The Adult Correctional Institute notified Providence Police on Tuesday that Alfred Brissette, a man convicted of murdering a woman for the "thrill of the kill" would be moving to Providence.
Brissette was released from jail around 8 a.m. on Tuesday after only serving 13-years of his 35-year sentence.
Providence Police are expected to meet with Brissette today.
In 1999 Brissette pleaded no contest to murdering Jeanette Descoteaux.
