The American Music Awards honored the best in the music business Sunday night on ABC6.
Each year the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame honors those in the music business with a connection to the state.
"Most of them are born here or build their reputations here. There has to be a deep connection to Rhode Island," said Robert Billington, RI Music Hall of Fame.
The hall opened in 2012 and so far has inducted 17 people. They include The Cowsills of Newport and MTV Vice President Bill Flanagan of Warwick.
The exhibits line the walls of the Hope Artist Village at 999 Main Street in Pawtucket.
The next class will be induced in the spring.
"There are so many musical greats that are not on the Hall of Fane and it's just because of time," said Billington.
The exhibits are open 7 days a week from 8 am to 10 pm.
